Access Planet Organization, facilitated by trained Action Ambassadors, conducted Netri Samwad Dialogues engaging 156 adolescent girls, women with disabilities, and women from marginalized communities. The sessions created safe and participatory spaces for discussion and debate on local and national issues, fully led by the Action Ambassadors.

Main Objectives:

  • To provide platforms for women and girls from marginalized communities to voice their concerns and perspectives.

  • To enhance leadership, public speaking, and communication skills.

  • To foster peer networks, mentorship, and community-led problem-solving.

The dialogues addressed context-specific themes: sexual and reproductive health rights in Bhaktapur and Kailali; leadership and political participation in Rautahat, Mahottari, and Janakpur; and family planning in Kanchanpur. Participants critically reflected on structural and social barriers, including patriarchal norms, mobility restrictions, child marriage, and limited family support.

Through the sessions, participants developed strategies to navigate these challenges, practiced public speaking, strengthened communication skills, and built confidence. The forums also facilitated mentorship opportunities, peer learning, and collective problem-solving, laying the groundwork for sustainable, community-led leadership platforms.

Outputs:

  • Participants strengthened public speaking, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Context-specific strategies were developed to address local social and structural barriers.

  • Peer networks and mentorship opportunities were established to support emerging women leaders.

  • Safe, participatory spaces enabled critical reflection on social norms and community challenges.

  • Foundations were laid for ongoing community-led dialogue and leadership platforms.
