Computer Refresher Training for Blind and Visually Impaired Women

Introduction :

Access Planet has successfully completed computer refresher training for blind and visually impaired women conducted from 4th to 12th May 2022. 14 blind and visually impaired women from across the country participated in the training. The 7 days training was conducted virtually in the funding support of Global Fund for Women. The main aim of the training was to enhance the quality education and employment opportunities for young women with visual impairments.

In the training, participants were provided with sessions on :

• Page Lay Out, Convert File and File compress ,abstract file/folder
• NVDA Setting
• Computer Management
• Google drive, google docs, google slides, google sheet
• Creating google form, comment and track change
• Application and website orientation.

Outcomes of the training :

• 14 blind and visually impaired women from across the country updated their skills on computer and technology
• Enhancement in technological skills has supported access to quality education and employment opportunities for blind and visually impaired women.
