Access Planet Organization in the support of Disability Rights Fund organized half day advocacy program with the stakeholders of Bhaktapur district on “Issues and Way Forward for Enhancing Access to Education for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities" aiming of at handing over advocacy manifesto to the local stakeholders which was prepared by the organization compiling issues of the girls and young women with disabilities in education and the solution proposed. Along with that it also aimed at sensitizing the stakeholders on the issues that girls and young women with disabilities faced in achieving quality education and access to technology.

Access Planet conducted advocacy with the representatives of Training Development Department of Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) of Sanothimi, Bhaktapur with the objectives to advocate about the need of inclusion of Women with disabilities in Training and Capacity building programs organized by CTEVT and to take the commitments from the respective authorities for the inclusive opportunities for young women with disabilities in acquiring skill based training provided by CTEVT.

Orientation on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights to Girls with Disabilities.(Bagmati Province)
Access Planet Organization organized one-day orientation Program on “Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights to Girls with Disabilities” at Disabled Service Association situated in Bungamati, Lalitpur, Bagmati Province as the commemoration of 16 days activism against Gender based violence. Twenty Five girls with visual impairment, Deaf and Physical disabilities participated in the orientation program. The orientation program was conducted with the funding support of Women Fund Asia.

This training aimed to empower the young women with disabilities with the leadership and advocacy skills along with the motive to sensitize about their rights that will inbuilt their confidence providing resilience to fight for the rights and justice of women with disabilities which will also strengthen the movement of young women with disabilities that was effected by COVID -19.

Computer Class in Guru Jajur Secondary School(Dang, Lumbini Province)
Access Planet Organization has conducted 3 months computer training from July, 2022 to visually impaired students who are studying in Shree Guru Jajur Secondary School of Rakshachaur of Dang in the partnership with Global Fund for Women and the school administration. The main objective of this program was to make it accessible for blind children specially girls to get inclusive education by providing them technological capacity development.

This training aimed to empower the young women with disabilities with the leadership and advocacy skills along with the motive to sensitize about their rights that will inbuilt their confidence providing resilience to fight for the rights and justice of women with disabilities which will also strengthen the movement of young women with disabilities that was effected by COVID -19. The training was conducted in funding support of Kaagapay under Women’s Fund Asia (WFA).
