Workshops on Public Speaking and Development of Detailed Action Plans

• Madhesh Province – 24th September 2025

Access Planet Organization conducted Workshops on Public Speaking and Development of Detailed Action Plans in three provinces, engaging a total of 80 Action Ambassadors (24 from Sudurpaschim, 28 from Bagmati, and 28 from Madhesh). The workshops were designed to strengthen leadership skills, public speaking, and community engagement among participants.

Main Objectives:

• To enhance participants’ public speaking, presentation, and group communication skills.

• To identify key local challenges affecting women and marginalized communities.

• To develop actionable strategies and detailed action plans for addressing these challenges at the community level.

• To identify mentor–mentee needs and prepare debate topics for the Netri Samwad platforms.

• To equip Action Ambassadors with strategies for inclusive leadership and participation in governance processes.

The workshops included interactive exercises and group work, enabling participants to identify critical local issues such as caste-based discrimination, domestic violence, Chhaupadi practices, limited access to education, and low women’s political participation. Participants collaboratively developed action plans to address these challenges and finalized debate topics for the Netri Samwad platforms. Sessions also helped map mentorship requirements to support ongoing leadership development.

Outputs:

• Participants improved public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.

• Community-level action plans were developed to address local challenges.

• Mentor–mentee needs were identified for supporting leadership growth.

• Debate topics for Netri Samwad platforms were finalized.

• Participants gained strategies and confidence for inclusive leadership and community engagement.
