Under the UN Women-funded project Empowering Marginalized Women Through Political Participation and Leadership Development in Nepal’s Diverse Provinces,” Access Planet Organization conducted a series of structured dialogue sessions aimed at promoting positive social norms and strengthening women’s political participation across three provinces.

Main Objective:
To promote positive social norms and enhance women’s participation in political processes.

A participants, including local government representatives, civil society organizations (CSOs), women, and youth leaders, actively engaged in the sessions. Discussions focused on key barriers to women’s political participation, such as limited representation, exclusion of women with disabilities, caste-based discrimination, gender-based violence, and economic marginalization.

Participants collaborated to develop community-level action plans and gained practical skills in leadership, public speaking, and advocacy.

Outputs:

  • Participants strengthened leadership, public speaking, and advocacy skills.

  • Community-level action plans were developed to address barriers to women’s political participation.

  • Increased awareness among participants on promoting positive social norms and inclusive political participation.
