Leadership Training for Young Women with Disabilities of Chitwan

Access Planet organization successfully conducted a “One-day leadership program for young women with disabilities of grassroots level of Chitwan district on 24 April 2021. The aim of the training was to empower women with disabilities at the grassroots level. The training provided knowledge to the participants on legal aspects, including:

  • Act Relating to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and it's Regulation
  • UNCRPD and its optional protocol
  • Sustainable Development Goals Focusing on Disability-Related Indicators
  • Gender roles
  • Team building and group formation.

The training helped to enhance the leadership capacities of young women with disabilities in the grassroots.
