Access Planet Organization under the support of Ministry of Social Development, Bagmati Province and Redcross Nepal, Balkot sub-branch, organized a 14 days ‘Technology Based Pre-employment Skill Development Training for Youths with Disabilities’ at Balkot, Bhaktapur, Bagmati Province. Eleven youths with disabilities from the province got a chance to participate and acquire various technological and pre-employment skills.

Issue Identification Workshop on Education and Access to Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities
ccess Planet Organization under leadership of advocacy committee of Kathmandu valley, conducted one day ‘Issue Identification Workshop on Education and Access to Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities’ on 22nd June 2022 in Bhaktapur. The program made sure that people from a variety of backgrounds, including students with disabilities, their parents, teachers who work with girls with disabilities in the classroom, and representatives of organizations involved in the disability rights sector, participated. 41 participants were able to present about the rights relating to education for girls and women with disabilities.

Access Planet Organization organized one-day orientation Program on “Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights to blind and visually impaired girls” at Amar Singh Model Secondary School, Amarsingh, Pokhara, Gandaki Province with aim to sensitize girls with disabilities on various dimensions of SRHR. Twenty Blind and visually impaired girls from the school participated in the orientation program.

On May 29, 2022, Access Planet Organization held a one-day "Issue Identification Workshop on Education and Access to Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities" in Nepalgunj as the second phase of the training. The workshop was led by the advocacy committee of the sub-metropolitan city. The program made sure that people from a variety of backgrounds, including students with disabilities, their parents, teachers who work with girls with disabilities in the classroom, and representatives of organizations involved in the disability rights sector, participated. 35 participants were able to present about the rights relating to education for girls and women with disabilities.

Issue Identification Workshop on Education and Access to Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities
Access Planet Organization under leadership of advocacy committee of Dhangadhi sub metropolitan city, conducted one day ‘Issue Identification Workshop on Education and Access to Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities’ on 28th May 2022 in Dhangadhi. Participation of persons from different backgrounds was ensured in the workshop. Issues faced by girls with disabilities in education and access to technology were collected from diverse sectors like students with disabilities, parents of girls with disabilities, teachers of girls with disabilities and representatives from organizations working in disability right sector.
