Computer Based Skill Development Training for Youth with Disabilities

Access Planet Organization held 15 days Computer Based Skill Development Training for Youth with Disabilities for the youth with disabilities from 28th April to 15th May 2023 in support of Bagmati support and Red cross Society Balkot Branch. The primary goal of the training is to help people with disabilities improve their computer-based employment skills. There were total 10 participants, including temporary and permanent resident of Kathmandu.

Refresher Training on Right Relating to Education and Technology for Advocacy Committees

Access Planet Organization in support of the Disability Rights Fund (DRF) organized the refresher training on the topic- “Refresher Training on Rights Relating to Education and Technology for Advocacy Committees.” The training was conducted to update the advocacy committees on the content as the follow-up of comprehensive training on the given topic last year. 17 advocacy committee members from Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, and Kathmandu Valley were present at the training as participants. And, different facilitators working in education and technology facilitated various sessions.

Interaction on Way Forward for Enhancing Access to Inclusive Education and Assistive Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities.

Access Planet Organization in support of the Disability Rights Fund (DRF) organized an interaction program on the topic- “Way Forward for Enhancing Access to Inclusive Education and Assistive Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities”. This interaction program was organized in Alpha House, Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Honorable Sobita Gautam, a Member of the Parliament was invited as the chief guest in the interaction program along with the presence of around 40 different stakeholders from the education sector and representatives of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and other disability rights activists. The main objectives of the program is to share the achievements of the project: “Fostering Access to Inclusive Education and Assistive Technology for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities” that was conducted last year in 2022 A.D.
