Access Planet Organization in support of Disability Rights Fund organized half day advocacy program with the education related stakeholders of Banke district: Nepalgunj Sub metropolitan City and Khajura Rural Municipality on “Issues and Way Forward for Enhancing Access to Education for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities.” This interaction program was organized in Swasthik Cottage, Dhamboji Nepalgunj with the presence of 40 participants from across different sectors including Mayor, municipal education chiefs, parents, teachers, principals, female students with disabilities and representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs). The program aimed at handing over advocacy manifesto to the local stakeholders which was prepared by the organization compiling issues of the girls and young women with disabilities in education and the solution proposed.

Access Planet Organization organized one-day orientation Program on “Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights to Girls with Disabilities” from 4 different schools of Banke District which took place at Vijaya Hotel of Bardiya, Lumbini Province. Twenty girls with visual impairment and Physical disabilities participated in the orientation program. The orientation program was conducted with the funding support of Women Fund Asia.

Representatives from Municipal education department, organization of person with disabilities, Teachers, Parents and students of Bhaktapur district.

Access Planet Organization in the support of Disability Rights Fund organized half day advocacy program with the stakeholders of Bhaktapur district on “Issues and Way Forward for Enhancing Access to Education for Girls and Young Women with Disabilities" aiming of at handing over advocacy manifesto to the local stakeholders which was prepared by the organization compiling issues of the girls and young women with disabilities in education and the solution proposed. Along with that it also aimed at sensitizing the stakeholders on the issues that girls and young women with disabilities faced in achieving quality education and access to technology.

Access Planet conducted advocacy with the representatives of Training Development Department of Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) of Sanothimi, Bhaktapur with the objectives to advocate about the need of inclusion of Women with disabilities in Training and Capacity building programs organized by CTEVT and to take the commitments from the respective authorities for the inclusive opportunities for young women with disabilities in acquiring skill based training provided by CTEVT.

Access Planet Organization organized one-day orientation Program on “Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights to Girls with Disabilities” at Disabled Service Association situated in Bungamati, Lalitpur, Bagmati Province as the commemoration of 16 days activism against Gender based violence. Twenty Five girls with visual impairment, Deaf and Physical disabilities participated in the orientation program. The orientation program was conducted with the funding support of Women Fund Asia.

Access Planet conducted advocacy with the representatives of Inclusive Education Department of Center for Education and Human Resource Development of Sanothimi, Bhaktapur with the objectives to advocate about the challenges faced by adolescent and young women with disabilities to achieve quality education and to take the commitments from the respective authorities for the inclusive quality education of the girls and young women with disabilities.
